The dangers of drug use, and drug rehabilitation in China (2011-05-04)
This book contains four sections and six appendices. The sections are titled: 1. "Drugs and drug use" (including useful lists of psychoactive drugs, with the English equivalent for each); 2. "The dangers of drug use"; 3. "The causes of drug use"; and 4. "Drug prohibition and rehabilitation from drug use." The appendices contain the texts of important drug-control policy statements. 1. The 1990 State Council Resolution concerning drug prohibition; 2. The "Methods of management of narcotic drugs" issued by the State Council in 1987; 3. The "Methods of management of psychoactive drugs" issued by the State Council in 1988; 4. The "General order concerning the prohibition of opium" dissed by the Council in 1950; 5. The system of management of voluntary drug treatment centers; 6. The "Methods of compulsory drug treatment" issued by the State Council in 1995. A copy of this book is held in the Governor Gary Locke Library, Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience, Seattle, Washington State, USA.
