A general overview about the Russian culture; has general information about old customs and has more specific descriptions about wars and revolutions starting from the 1800’s and how they affected the Russian population. This book is a good place to start research for any general topic on Russia and its culture. While researching death and the Russian culture, broad ideas were easily found such as “everything happens for a reason because it is God’s will.” After taking a look at this book, a researcher will have new ideas of what to look up in other sources. This book is part of a series about studies in European history and the list of the other 23 books can be found in the last pages. The books are all by different authors, but are written in a similar style.
