I was given this book to read by my teacher, I hate reading, or should I say; I hated reading. I treid the Harry Potter books, phew, too big. So I prefer to watch films, but I had to read a book for school.
After the fisrt few chapters, I was fully into it. Jason grew on me and you end up really liking him. He has a tough start to life, but has a natural talent, his parents were great athletes, so that is passed down to him.
The book is like an Alex Rider or Cody Banks story, but has lots of drama, some of the chapters are very emotional, the ones between him and his father give you a lump in the throat.
Sonce reading this I have gone onto Cherub books, Alex Rider and Spy High, this however I have now read twice and is my favorite book. It probably will remain my favorite book.

The best teen fiction book I have read. Fledgling Jason Steed.
The best book I have read ever, no doubt about that. Its very easy to read, and fun. The novel travels at high speed and is what you expect from a teen hero book, think Alex Rider, Cody Banks but give it a good looking blond haired Blue eyed boy with growing pains, and a huge heart and you have Jason...

The scene in an aircraft made me cry, even when I read it the second time.
It's full of emotion, but fun and typical good guy bad guy senerio. Loved it. many thanks to the brillaint author, at last we have an easy to read book for teen boys.

Jason is a strong minded little dude who gets into all sorts of problems, the realationship between father and son is very real life.
The clseness of Jason and his friends came out throughout the pages. The story is very original and different to waht I have read before, unlike Alex Rider Jason has a young girlfriend, they briefly meet at age 5 when she was drwoning in a pool, Jason a swimmer saves here.and then again when they are eleven they bump into each other. Its not a romantic story thats just in the back ground, Jason gets up to pranks with Scott his bud. When things go wrong Jason can turn up the heat. I wont spoil the polt, but if you want cool fast action with a real easy to read story behind it, you will have found it in Fledgling. When a military mission goes wrong and Jason is left stranded on Jakarta, he has 48 hours to pull off a heist and amazing rescue. Its set in the olden days 1960-1970. A chapter in a World War 2 bomber B24 is the best chapter I have read. You will be on the edge of your seat, laughing the next and then... I dare you not to shed a tear.
